Day 1 Newport – Rhode Island

Enjoy your day and night in Newport, Rhode Island, where world famous coastal scenery, awe-inspiring architecture, a thriving waterfront downtown and a warm welcome awaits you!  Your time will include touring the fame Gilded Age mansions, known as the summer playground for socialites families with names like Astor and Vanderbilt.  Enjoy a wine tasting at one of the many vineyards Newport has to offer, and then bask in a sunset Newport Dinner Cruise taking in the spectacular waterfront views including historic Fort Adams. You will bring home with you unforgettable memories of Newport where spectacular photo opportunities await!

 

Day 2  Cape Cod – Massachusetts

Cape Cod is known for its beautiful white sand beaches, scenic views, and historic lighthouses, as well as some of the best seafood on the east coast. Experience Cape Cod in a way that allows you to experience all that it has to offer. Begin your day at the very top of the Cape in Provincetown. You can choose to explore the famous Race Point Lighthouse, wander through some of the unique shops downtown.  Next, depart for Chatham where you will delight in a fabulous lunch at The Wild Goose Tavern. The tavern is located right in the heart of the quaint little town of Chatham on Main Street, which features dozens of shops and other popular historical sights. You will have free time after lunch to sightsee before boarding your motorcoach.  You will then travel to the very famous port of Hyannis. Upon arrival you will board the Hy-Line Cruises vessel to take a tour of beautiful Hyannis harbor and Hyannisport, home of the Kennedy Compound.   We will then follow the coast to Cape Wind Waterfront Resort in Falmouth for a Cape Cod style Clam and Lobster bake. You will be able to relax as you absorb the breath taking scenery while feasting on the best seafood around! We will allow time to take in sights on your own upon returning to your hotel in Falmouth!

Day 3 -Martha’s Vineyard – Massachusetts

Your day begins aboard the ferry to The Island of Martha’s Vineyard, said to be the Jewel of New England covering roughly 100 square miles, and is home to both year-round and seasonal residents.   The island is made of several quaint and very unique little towns.  Upon arrival in Oak Bluffs we will embark on a tour featuring the famous Gingerbread Cottages; Nestled within the heart of Oak Bluffs are over 180 small cottages that make up the “Campgrounds.”  Edgartown is known as One of New England’s most elegant communities, it is the first colonial settlement and it has been the county seat since 1642. The stately white Greek revival houses built by the whaling captains have been carefully maintained.  Explore Main Street lined with numerous specialty shops and fabulous eateries, shows as a picture book setting with its harbor and waterfront.  For the past hundred years, Edgartown has been one of the world’s great yachting centers.  After lunch at the famous Black Dog Tavern, hear the stories and see the sights as you experience a narrated tour of this most fascinating island that has for many years been home to world famous music legends, artists, and Presidents of The United States.

 

Day 4 – Providence – Rhode Island

On your way home be sure to stop in the exciting and historic city of Providence, Rhode Island.  Visit the legendary Federal Hill, also known as “Little Italy” where you will embark on a scrumptious culinary tour that is sure to awaken your sleeping pallet!  Providence known as “The City for all Seasons” will surely awaken all your senses.  Experience a tour along historic Benefit Street, also known as “The Mile of History”. Your tour will include a stop at The John Brown House, The First Baptist Church of America, Governor Stephen Hopkins House and The Providence Athenaeum Library.  Now that you have built up an appetitive, enjoy a late lunch at one of Providence’s famous down cities chic restaurants!  At last you will be enamored with your tour of Rhode Island’s State Capitol featuring the 4th largest self -supporting dome in the world!  Come see for yourself why Providence has been voted one of America’s most favorite cities!
